It is almost one year since our beloved husband, father, and grandfather left this world – in the Islamic tradition, we gather to honour his memory and seek blessings for his soul. In Islam, the passage of time after a loved one’s death holds significant meaning. The first year is often marked by special prayers and remembrance (du’a) for the deceased, as well as reflection on the legacy they leave behind.
We invite you to join us in a special gathering during the anniversary week of our Beloved’s passing, where we will come together for prayers, remembrance, and reflection. This event serves to honour his life, his values, and the impact he made on those around him. It is a time for us to pray for his forgiveness, seek divine mercy for his soul, and reflect on the lessons he imparted to us.
Haji Mohamed Farouk was a guiding light in our lives, and his dedication to our community was nothing short of remarkable. He was an integral part of the fundraising efforts for the construction of the new Masjid Project for World Islamic Mission (Canada). This Masjid stands as a testament to a commitment to serving others and helping create a space for worship, unity, and growth.
In honour of his dedication to this project, we will host this ‘Night of Forgiveness’ at Masjid Noor-ul-Haram. As we gather here, we not only remember Haji Mohamed Farouk, but also reflect on the lasting impact of his contributions.
